BMW Moves Towards Lasers Headlights For Cars

BMW has been using LED lights for its vehicles for quite some time. The automobile manufacturer is now working on using lasers as the light source for headlamps. The light created by BMW laser headlights would not harm people or animals, neither will it blind oncoming drivers. BMW informs that an LED can create 100 lumens of light per watt, where as a laser could produce 170 lumens per watt. The first car to showcase the technology will be the BMW i8 concept
