The BMW,is to launch a plug in hybrid model in China next month, during the Auto Shanghai. This car has specifically been designed for the Chinese market and caters for the aspirations of chauffeur driven clientele.
The car propulsion system,is unlikely to be significantly different from the 5 Series ActiveHybrid, which uses a V6 3.0 litre engine and a 50 HP electric motor. It will include luxury touches such as sun blinds, a folding table in the rear seat and an entertainment system.
